Hyatt Regency Long Beach
Anderson/Miller, Ltd. completed the renovation of all Guestrooms, Corridors and 17 Specialty Suites in a cohesive, clean and contemporary beach aesthetic with light wood tones, soothing neutral color palates and refreshing punches of deep azure blue reinforcing the hotel’s prime bay and beachfront location. Local art photography commissioned by acclaimed photographer Zoran Orlic and “Welcome” resin LED light sculpture conceived of by the AREAWARE collective. In the process of evaluating all of the Guestroom layouts, AML reconfigured floor plans providing ample and oversized and tech connected work space with separate seating areas for work, dining or relaxation. The typical Guest Baths feature fully illuminated and backlit bath mirrors, raised vessel sink basins, plank tiled stand-up showers with handheld sprays.
Suite amenities include eat-in kitchens with quartered white oak cabinetry and marble islands wired for connectivity. Walls lined with custom millwork bookcases and white oak floors border an ample Living Space with multiple seating areas. In the gracious and residential Royal and Palm Suites, AML provided a home-away-from-home experience for meeting, entertaining or getting away. Multiple seating areas, full dining areas, and generous Master Suites outfitted with floor to ceiling woodwork, Bose sound systems and i-pads make an impression along with Master Bath showers built for two that feature in-shower waterproof TVs, multiple sprays, wall fountain and overhead spray with water activated chromatherapy. Suites also feature deep spa soaking tubs or private outdoor terraces. The specialty artwork package was curated with an emphasis on color and texture with a mixture of photography, abstract painting, and wax encaustic.
